What this static site records, why limited analytics are used and how to opt out.

Analytics on this device

Analytics are enabled.

Buryat Global uses Google Analytics 4 to see which pages people open, how they move between them and what kind of device they are on. Nothing here is used for advertising: advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation are denied, and analytics data is not shared with advertising networks.

While analytics are on, this is what gets stored:

Analytics are optional statistical processing, and you can object at any time on this device. Switching them off stores your choice in this browser, expires the analytics cookies this site can reach, and stops the Google Analytics script from loading on the pages you open next.

The choice itself is kept in this browser as a small marker — a bg-ga-optout cookie and a matching entry in local storage. It is not linked to an account and does not follow you to another browser or device. If you clear this site's data, the marker goes with it and analytics start again, so you would need to switch them off once more.

Actions measured on this site

Project events record the page and language, reading milestones and active time while the content is visible, navigation, source clicks, downloads, catalogue filter choices, search result counts and clicks, and steps in preparing a contribution. Active time is an estimate of engagement, not proof of reading.

These project events do not include search terms, text entered in the contribution helper, email contents or personal family notes. They use stable page or source identifiers and fixed categories. Preparing a draft or opening an email app does not mean a message was sent. Development and QA mode do not send these events to Google Analytics.

Contact and external links

The site does not currently run accounts or comments. Its contribution helper prepares a draft locally and does not submit it to a server. Email is processed by the recipient's mail provider. External archives and publishers have their own privacy and access policies.
